Material Certificates for S355JR Steel

A material test certificate provides important information about the supplied S355JR steel. For many structural projects, buyers may request an EN 10204 3.1 certificate showing the actual test results associated with the supplied material.

The certificate may contain information such as the manufacturer's details, product dimensions, heat number, chemical analysis, mechanical test results, and applicable standard.

For projects requiring independent verification, an EN 10204 3.2 certificate or third-party inspection may be requested depending on the contract and project specifications.

Heat Number Traceability

Heat number traceability is particularly important for project steel procurement. Each batch of S355JR steel should be traceable to its relevant production and testing records.

During receiving inspection, buyers can compare the heat number or identification marking on the steel with the information shown on the material certificate. This helps establish a clear connection between the physical product and its quality documentation.

Inspection of S355JR Steel Plates
